Food.. Hungry~!

Woah, cooked a big bowl of porridge this morning, unable to finish it for lunch. Thought can have it for dinner even though the porridge left was too many. However still, have to save it for tomorrow because ate dinner outside. Ate pork today, the pork was nice but I still miss the Bak Kut Teh's pork in Klang, and dad's dishes. Yum yum.. After that dinner, not enough because seem too little for me. Thus, ate NIPS (nuts and grapes) Yum yum.. Still not enough, drink water and now my stomach is full of water. I still have a bun to finish. Waiting my stomach to be empty to finish the bun. Yay~! Study and research time~ !

Good luck and all the best~!

Things That I Learn

I learnt a lots of things in two days time. Really thanks for my friend (Lu Wee) for letting me know so many important things. She kept on mentioned that she seldom tells people about what she told me. I was really lucky for knowing her. Also, lecturers' (Ms. Tan and Mr. Agus) advice in other part of life.

Lesson
- communication skill (something that is really important in the society)
- put hand a side when talking to show more confident (rubbing hands means releasing the nervousness to the hand)
- try to sit still and not moving front or back
- speak out a suggesting in a polite way
- don't scare of any failure (this is my largest weakness)
- straight to the point ( I have been always talking in an indirect way because do not know how to communicate)
- if possible, find a job to improve communication skill
- no need to scare to be scolded, the more you get scolded, the more you grow
- be a good listener
- acknowledge the person to be talked with
- don't laugh when speaking (well, I think this only apply when I am talking with her)
- getting scold is good for the future
- try to be ambitious and not being a normal person
- be active, not passive

Advice when doing the industrial training
- be active, ask them to see what you can do and not sit there and wait
- speak out whatever you want to say, if he/she a senior, acknowledge him/her and tell them what you think
- try to talk more in English
- give ideas in discussion and not listen to it only, the person will think that you might not be thinking or joining in the discussion
- when working in team, give the leader knows what you progress is and not waiting him/her to ask

Presentation
- practice more before present because there is no flow (reason: I stuck too much)
- speak louder to show more confident
- hands to be put in front and not swinging it after showing something in the slides using hand

Report writing
Abstract/Summary
- a brief introduction / a synopsis of your report
- methodology
- results
- short and simple but sharp
- For experiment report:
   - what are you going to do?
   - why you do it?
   - how you do it?
   - what to expect (pre-lab)
   - result and brief conclusion (report)

Literature review/Theory/Introduction
- the general, the fact of the experiment
- grammar & vocabulary
- do not use: There's; 9 experiments; use: There is; Nine experiments

Objective
- match objective in discussion
- related with the theory from literature review
- should be stated in conclusion with the result obtained

Comparison
- the value between calculation and simulation
- more detailed comparison and discussion using theory (if possible) e.g. maintenance fee

Recommendation
- give idea which has not been done and not what have done

General
- no "I", "we", "you", "they" in any report
- figure labelled below; table labelled above
- provide a good abstract (reason: busy person does not have time to read the whole report, therefore reading the abstract give a good picture for them and attract them to read the whole report
- allow appropriate referencing
- follow the report writing guidelines
- proof - read report before submission
- write everything down when there is any idea (can copy and paste directly into the report in later time)
- have good strategy to communicate with the supervisor

Final Year Project
- start doing it during industrial training
- research proposal writing = initial writing
- is a dynamic project -> open-ended case studies
- what they expect us to do
- supervisor (mentor/friend/partner) of discussion, can ask for feedback
- an independent and creative work
- time management: do more in first semester because there is design project in second semester and not to focus in design project only
- DP, FYP--> BALANCE
- if there is any progress, ask for feedback from supervisor
- make appointment or find the supervisor during his/her consultation hours

Random
- the world is full of evil person (well for me, it's just some of the nations)
- do not worry too much on natural disaster e.g. earthquake (well, I could not help myself sometime)
- the sky is so nice and peaceful (I wish to see UFO *dreaming*)
- I talked in an indirect way (I will try to change it)
- Luwee told me sometime in this year: I know you have potential, just that you lack of communication skill and scare to speak up your idea and therefore always stay in silent mode during discussion (thanks for telling me that I have potential, I am just too scare to step out the first step)
- Luwee: I want to see how you adapt to the cultural of the people from other country (I will try my best, I can adapt a place very well, just that I am too quiet
- Sensei Ngui: you can perform the kata well mah, just need more power (the truth is, I have no idea to how to use the power and even if I know, I could not fully utilise it)
- Sensei Ting: you shy ah? I "piak" you (>.<, Sensei, even if you want to hit me, my shyness will not go away immediately also T.T)
- Dr. Ujjal: Don't be so quiet, talk more just like your friends did. You know? In Australia, there is a class for communication skill. In that class, the students are required to speak out what they have done in their daily life. By talking about it, your communication skill can be improved. (I will try to find a person to speak more then)
