Today was the Curtin Open Day 2010. However, I always forgot to take pictures whenever the event/day is fun because I try to put all the nice scenery in my memory. Nothing is better than own experience. XD So, I will put everything in words.
Well, starting from last night, prepared the ingredients for today's food. Went to Alia's house with the feeling thought that there would be food to test but in the end, helping out with preparing the marinated ingredients (onion, garlic and ginger). Alia, Ari, Sing Ping and me there, Fairol and Michele were later because they just back from town at about 8pm. We took about 5 hours to clean and cut off the ingredients. I had maggie mee in the middle thanks to Alia with few extra chillies. Yummy yummy. In the end, after finished marinated the chicken, it was already 2 in the morning. *laugh*
Then today, woke up at 7.30am and to campus at almost 9am which was quite late already. Everything was like unprepared at the booth but still in the end, we managed to put something to sell out at 10am. I was helping at the Karate booth, helped to cut/cook the dishes. I went for walk quite lots of times First, before 10 with Luwee for the ice. Then with Shu Ling, all area except business school and recreation hall. After that with Sing Ping to business school and recreation hall.
Bus stop and LT - Nescafe, computer hardware, bookstore/ stationary, exhibition of mechanical's creation item, something relevant to equilibrium, words puzzle, and lots more.
Grass area around the lake - Kite exhibition
Stage on the grass - any events that's going on: Hair show, singing...
Booth behind G1-G2 and grass around the round about - Food of club/ restaurants, promotion (telephone line company like celcom, maxis, newspaper as the Star).
Business school - Charity (Sunflower center, blind center, breast cancer society...
Recreation hall - Pets conner, kids conner (Colouring, air balloons, playground, and competitions)
For our booth, there were still a lots of food hadn't being sold out. So, the most tired person - our miss president keep on calling on people to buy all the food and drinks. And so, our seaweed, tempura, origami, smoothies, bento and the cocktail of fruits were able to sold out. Until then, it was already 5pm. It was really a long day!
I bought, jelly, tangyuan, corn, egg tart, choco cake, cheese cake, drinks, spaghetti, carrot cake..
Next time, I should remember to take care of each member stomach! Felt so guilty when know that someone did not eat anything at all for the whole day. Geez, should have forced that person to eat at least a little. *shake head and sigh* Anyway, experience is always experience, to learn new things. Chill~
After that, went to watch Curtin Idol. Planned to support Zing Tien but have to hear her voice outside the LT in the end. *sigh* Still, I got to go into LT to watch the contest starting from contestant number 4. The contestants' voices were really nice as well. Lucky draw, Mr. and Miss Curtin and Curtin Idols' result were announced at 7.00-7.30pm. Were so shocked with all the result *laugh* especially for Mr. Curtin but still, congratulate them. ^^ Went back home with Sing Ping then.
Anyway, this was the first time for me to helping out in a booth. Haha.. It's really fun! I never know that helping at the back is that fun! Although it's tiring, sharing the moment together at least worth it. Really appreciated that I got a chance to have these fun. LOL..
